Zingaro Nature Reserve Photo Story

The natural beauty tucked away on the northern coast of Sicily is something unique for its untouched, rugged landscape. From San Vito lo Capo it’s easy to reach this nature park and to find your way along the 7 kilometre path to the neighbouring town of Scopello. What isn’t so easy is the hike itself. The path is steep, rocky and extremely hot and dry during the summer months. Pack food and water because there are no rest stops or shops once you enter the reserve. Wear comfortable walking shoes and clothing and be rewarded by the stunning ocean views, sparkling water, tucked away beaches and dark caves that you will come across on the trail. One of the beaches had even been voted Italys best for 2018. For more information visit the Sicily Side Trip blog post.
